“Tranquil Soles ”
JOURNEY: As a young adult I experienced many health challenges, primarily with endometriosis and fibroids, which caused incredible pain and discomfort. As I tried to get help through our medical system they offered little in the way of getting to the root of the problem instead they said my only options were drugs and surgery. My gut told me there were other options. So I spent my 20’s feeling frustrated with the medical system, given bad advice, and felt no one really listened to me and my needs. I was seen as another body with a disease not as a whole person to be treated. I had to take my health into my own hands. I tried many alternative modalities, and took training in many of them, but when I first experienced reflexology, I immediately fell in love with it and knew this was THE one for me. I dropped all another modalities and looked for training in reflexology. I have never looked back.
GROWTH: I soon learned how disconnected the medical system can be. I consistently learn more as each year goes by and I am excited for all the ways reflexology can help with pretty much any issue a human can experience. I found my purpose and as I began working with clients and seeing the positive results, my heart felt so full of gratitude and appreciation for this modality that truly made a difference. It felt so good to actually help people get results. As for me, I have no more pain associated with Endometriosis; I do not take any medication for pain; I am not sure if I have fibroids but if there are I am unaware as I experience no pain, and the only way to find out if there are any is through surgery and I am not doing that. All I know is I took responsibility for my health, all symptoms are gone and I continue to trust my gut to do what is right for me. The end result is that I get to live my best life.
After receiving my Certification in Reflexology, I started working out of my home and, as well, did house calls, and then to help expand my knowledge I continue to take more training and focus on more specialized areas of Reflexology (ie. reproductive health, hormonal health, and menopausal support). As I continued to trust my gut as to the net step, I felt drawn to work in a space where I would be surrounded by a supportive group of people working in a variety of alternative healing modalities. This happened for me as I joined the Nirvana 101 team.
SERVICE: My passion is to do my part to bring awareness to the community that Reflexology is a wonderful option to add to a person’s health care program. I want to make this modality more mainstream and to let people know that there are other options; pills and surgery are not the only answer. I am here to share the benefits of reflexology, which can range from relaxation to pain management to total healing of health issues. I share with my clients what their feet tell me even before they share the information with me verbally.
