​I would like to welcome you to Whitebear Creations. My name is Brenda Francoeur – the lead dream catcher artist, drum maker, and wood carver, and this beautiful lady beside me is Trish – who is my daughter and lead artist, jewellery maker, and drum maker.
           We are Whitebear Creations authentic Metis and Indigenous artists. Our hometown is The Pas, MB relocated to Medicine Hat, AB in 2014 and its become our home.
           Trish is a Metis artists, and myself I am First Nations I am a member of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation. We were taught our art from our elders over many years. Everything you see in front of you is handmade and hand-painted by us.
           Whitebear is English for Wapasewikmaw – Cree for Whitebear, a lot of people mistake our name for the polar bear. Our name comes from the spirit bear, there are spirit bears in B.C. There are different clan in different nations, we are from the Bear Clan.
           Whitebear Creations has been a dream of ours for many years. Now it has become a reality, so don’t give up on your dreams. When you work hard for it, it'll become reality. Just like Whitebear has been for us.
